Today America was graced with yet another example of the Left's inability to either model moral behavior, or punish immoral behavior, unless of course the accused is a Republican. Case in point: Mayor Sam Adams of Portland, Oregon. During his re-election bid in 2008, Mayor Adams repeatedly lied about a sexual affair he had in 2005 with a-then 18 year-old man,
Beau Breedlove (I'm not making this up). He managed to get Mr. Breedlove to do the same. Now, however, everything seems to have come out, as it were, and Mayor Adams, despite heavy pressure to step-down, has announced that he will do no such thing. Why? Well, because when it was Rep. Folley (R-FL) being accused of sexual affairs with interns, the Republicans not only disaplined him, he was removed from office. But when it's a Democrat like Adams or Clinton, we all know how the game goes: lie about it, call the conservatives holier-than-thous, admit it, and then pretend like nothing ever happened and proceed to attack the Right for daring to meddle in the private affairs of public officials. Oh, and if possible, try and find something naughty somewhere in the Republican party and begin screaming bloody murder at the horror of such impropriety. Repeat if necessary.
